All Nature Ministers to Hope: The Dedication of Lorraine’s Corner
On a perfect sun lit Sunday, more than two hundred people came out to dedicate Lorraine’s Corner, the meditative healing garden that Amy’s Treat built in memory of community volunteer Lorraine Goren. Lorraine’s Corner is a place away from a hospital setting for anyone who seeks hope and reflection and features benches along a stone walkway and plant materials chosen specifically to promote peace, healing and meditation. As part of the landscape design by Bernadette Norton, the remnants of old granite well has been capped with a beautiful cast iron box affixed with a dragon fly that will allow visitors to drop notes of wishes into the well.
