I first met Amy in the summer 2005…

…as she started her journey through her treatment. I was one of the Therapists that cared for Amy on a daily basis, and then again during her last summer. As we see someone day in / day out for weeks, you get a sense of who they are. I knew very quickly that Amy had a very bright light inside of her, her strength, her joy; and as I got to know her better, I saw that the light extended to her family and friends. I always have said that friends are the family that we choose for ourselves. Amy had so much love in her, and around her. That is apparent today every time I think of Amy’s Treat, or when I can make a gift happen. It is all about extending her light. The way I felt it. The way others felt it. And, the way that others can feel it still.
